Junior / Senior Legal Secretary

We are looking for a junior or senior legal secretary to join our team, preferably with knowledge of e-litigation systems and court filing procedures. The successful candidate will provide full administrative and secretarial support to partners and fee earners, as well as assisting the wider support team with ad hoc tasks as required. Candidates with no prior experience are welcome to apply.

Your role will include:

  • Preparing, formatting and filing court documents through the e-Litigation portal in compliance with procedural requirements
  • Producing legal documents to a high standard of accuracy in line with the firm’s house style, templates and precedents
  • Managing and maintaining legal records, case files and correspondence in both physical and digital formats
  • Assisting fee earners in the preparation of hearing bundles, cause papers and other legal documentation
  • Proofreading and quality-checking materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation and formatting
  • Managing office filing systems, ensuring records are current, accurate and easily retrievable
  • Inputting, updating and maintaining information across the firm’s billing and document management systems
  • Recording time entries for fee earners accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting with the preparation of client invoices, including drafting narratives and covering letters
  • Coordinating travel arrangements, hearing dates and appointments
  • Providing general administrative support, including scheduling, billing coordination and expense tracking

What we are looking for:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within a professional services environment (though candidates without experience are encouraged to apply)
  • Confident, self-motivated and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Good written and spoken English
  • A team player who embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Discretion and a strong understanding of data protection and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
