Kim is currently a director advising on banking, corporate/commercial & employment matters. Starting professional life as an academic, Kim was Vice-Dean of the Law Faculty of the National University of Singapore before entering legal practice. He is a Fellow & Principal Mediator of the Singapore Mediation Centre.
Apart from advising financial institutions, corporates and statutory authorities on transactional and regulatory matters, Kim is also legal adviser to the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS).
He has represented the financial sector in making representations to a parliamentary select committee and advised the Singapore National Employers Federation. Kim has served as referee of the Industrial Arbitration Court and as a member of the Income Tax Board of Review. He is a long-time member of the Banking Commission of the Paris-based International Chambers of Commerce and serves on its DOCDEX Panel of Experts.
