Walter brings a wealth of legal expertise in both Commercial Litigation, as well as corporate law. After being called to the Singapore Bar, he worked under the tutelage of a highly esteemed Senior Counsel at one of Singapore’s largest law firms for over four years, gaining invaluable experience in handling complex company litigation.
Walter has acted for various clients at virtually every level of the Singapore court system, from individual minority shareholders to multi-national companies.
Over the years, Walter has focused on Corporate Law, with a particular emphasis on Cross-Border Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions, Shareholder and Director disputes, and Employment matters. His expertise has been instrumental in advising companies and drafting intricate agreements tailored to meet his clients’ needs.
As Head of Corporate at Incisive, Walter brings his expertise including Business Advisory, M&A, Transactions and Commercial Agreements, Commercial Litigation, and Dispute Resolution. He has advised clients on billion-dollar debt restructuring deals and continues to advise and act for clients in various multi-million-dollar M&A transactions. He is also external general counsel for several of his clients, providing regular legal advisory for their business activities.

On appeal, Walter not only managed to defend against the other party’s appeal but increased his own client’s damages by $260,000. The total amount awarded to the client was $2.2 million.
- Employment Claim: Successfully defended client company against employee’s claim of S$153,872.17 based on a alleged “commission scheme”. Reduced to $50.
- Defended Dental Company against various employment claims by its disgruntled dentist employees and rendered advice against potential minority oppression claim.
- Successfully represented a 7,000-member recreational club in successfully resisting an urgent injunction (1 working day notice) filed by certain members pursuant to a claim by the members against the club alleging unconstitutionality of EGM resolution.
- Represented clients in a variety of both High Court and State Court matters, involving inter alia employment disputes, misrepresentation claims, setting aside default judgments, fraud, IP disputes, property encroachment, breach of contract and summary judgment.
